How to add Auto Attendant (IVR) to an existing phone number?

Option 1: Keep your number at existing carrier.

You will setup call forwarding from your existing number to iPlum number and use Auto Attendant (IVR) feature of iPlum.

  1. Sign up a new account and get an iPlum number subscription: https://iplum.com
  2. Setup Auto Attendant on your iPlum number: Tutorial: Phone Tree, Auto-Attendant (IVR) with Extensions
  3. Setup Call forwarding from your existing carrier number to the new iPlum number you have created in above steps.


Option 2: Port your existing number to iPlum.

  1. Steps to port number into iPlum.
    iPlum provides full flexibility to users for both port-in and port-out.

Will this work for mobile or landline numbers?

Yes, you can configure mobile or landline number with Auto Attendant or Virtual Digital Attendant configuration.

How do I handle texting if I have an existing mobile number?

If you stay with existing carrier, you can continue to do texting there.  If you port your number into iPlum you can text using iPlum app.
