Port-in Instructions

Please note: During the porting process your number will continue to work at existing carrier.  When the porting gets completed, you will get an email. Your number will stop working at existing carrier and start working at iPlum.

Unlock your number if required: If your current carrier is a digital provider like Google Voice, sideline or smartline, unlock your porting number at their site before porting.  This step is not required for porting from traditional carriers like AT&T, Verizon, Spectrum, Sprint T-Mobile, Bell, Telus etc.

Note: To port an additional line if you already have an existing iPlum number, jump to this section.

Port-in Form:

Select iPlum Line To Port External Number: Click the text box to select your iPlum account/sub-account where to want to port your external phone number.

Upload Documents: Some carriers would require you to upload letter of authorization (LOA) and copy of your latest invoice for verification.  You will see the template letter of authorization in the form itself which you can download, fill & upload as PDF.

Enter the Information Related To Your External Number Account.

Name of Your Current Carrier/Vendor: Enter the name of existing carrier/vendor of the porting phone number.

Current Carrier Account Type: Select Single-Line if there is only one number in the account which is getting ported.  Select Multi-Line if there are more numbers in the account but you are transferring only one number to iPlum.

Porting Number Type: Select Business Local, Business Toll Free or Residential. If Residential number is Toll Free select Business Toll Free option.

Business Name / Full Name (With Current Carrier): Fill the text box as per information on your carrier bill.

Authorized Owners's Name (With Current Carrier): For businesses, it is the name of the person authorized on the account. For residential accounts it is same as the subscriber's name.

Billing Account Number (With Current Carrier): Enter entire account number from your existing bill. Don't enter spaces, dashes or hyphens. If you don't have account number, enter the phone number you are porting.

Primary Phone Number On Your Current Carrier Account: For Single-Line account it is same as the number you are porting. For Multi-Line account, enter the primary phone number on the account even if you are not porting that number.

Security Code or PIN (With Current Carrier):Enter the security code or pin for your external vendor account.  Normally this is the code you give your vendor when you call them to access any information on your external account.  In case you don't have one setup enter 0000.  For certain digital accounts, you may need to unlock your existing number and the vendor will give you a code which you will enter here.

Service Address (With Current Carrier): Please enter the service address of the phone number which you are porting. Keep in mind your service address may be different than the billing address.  If you are not sure, call your vendor to get that service address.  You can also request a CSR (Customer Service Record) from your vendor which has detailed address information.  Enter the address split as street number, direction and street name.  If there is no direction, leave it blank.  Do not enter PO Box addresses as service address can't be PO Box.

  • Back-End process: Once you enter the port order, the system will do some verification and submit the order to the losing carrier.  If there is any information mismatch responded by losing carrier, you will receive an email alert from iPlum. It takes approximately 2 - 7 business days to transfer a phone number into iPlum based on the carrier.  Wireless carriers do faster transfers than the landline carriers.  Meantime you can continue to use your service with existing carrier. There is no downtime.
  • Port Completion: You will receive an email notification when the transfer is complete and your ported number will start ringing in your iPlum app. Your ported number will replace the temporary iPlum number.
  • Download iPlum app from Apple iTunes or Google Play on your smartphone or tablet, login and start using it.
  • Check disconnect with the carrier: After your number has been successfully ported into iPlum, we advise that you call your carrier to confirm disconnect of the service and stop any further billing.

Port-out: For any reason in future if you decide to port-out your number to a different carrier, you can easily do that by following the port-out process in the iPlum portal.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
